Historic heart of the city
Digbeth, originally a crossing on the River Rea, has a long and proud history dating back to the 7th century and is where Beorma’s tribe settled and first gave Birmingham its name. For hundreds of years, those who wanted to be part of Birmingham were most likely to settle in Digbeth.
Birmingham was known as the 'city of a thousand trades' - no idle boast - and for centuries those who wanted to be part of Birmingham life were most likely to find a home in Digbeth. At the turn of the last century, Digbeth became subsumed in the industrial and commercial growth of Birmingham and today exists in the
shadow of Selfridges and the Bullring.
Situated on Park Street, the Beorma Quarter's tower rises confidently to celebrate this historic location. The outstanding office building is the centre point of the Beorma Quarter and offers inspiration to those who live, work and play here, whilst aspiring to be one of the very best landmark developments in the city.
Birmingham is making great strides in meeting its ambition to be a truly global city of the 21st century and the Beorma Quarter will play its part in this forward march by breathing new life into its historic heart.
