Design excellence
The Beorma Quarter is an ambitious and forward looking project. Designed by the internationally renowned Trevor Horne Architects, it exhibits a modern quality, enabling it to join with the rest of Birmingham as it progresses to become a world class city of the future.
The landmark office tower proudly stands as the centrepiece of the development. Situated adjacent to the iconic Selfridges building, the sleek vertical lines of the tower act as a focal point and proclaim Beorma’s presence in the city.
The iconic tower deliberately expresses the historic burgage plots that make this part of Birmingham so important and uses them to inform the design and construction of buildings across the development. These are further accentuated by a series of sky
gardens that have been specifically designed to punctuate the tower whilst also creating a stunning addition to this landmark building.
As a ‘gateway’ to the Bullring the façade of the tower is made up of over 800 fins that create a shimmering and dynamic kinetic elevation providing a unique building for Birmingham’s skyline. It is not only the stunning appearance of the main tower, but also the design throughout the entire development that makes the arrival of the Beorma Quarter a significant moment in Birmingham’s fast moving story.
From the reflection in design of the unique burgage plots to the refurbished ‘listed’ Cold Storage Building, each aspect of the Beorma Quarter is based on an ambition for excellence.
